ML270

[IHM]

Just joined up so forgive me if I make a few protocol mistakes.
I have had a few mercs in the past so do know my way around. Without actually intending to do so recently bought a 2002 ML 270. Old but v low mileage and pure 10 year MB history... but no owners manual. So firing a bit blind in a few areas.
Any one know where I can get a manual. ?
The cabin lights come on when I open the door. Can I re program them so they come one when I turn off the ignition or take the key out ?
What is the little black handle in the roof mounted front cabin light globe for? It seems to have no purpose but I imagine it does.

Manual can be bought from MB or search ebay for breakers for the ML they may have one if you ask for it.

Cabin lights are set and I dont think they can be changed, the amount of seconds they stay on might be possible through star.

The handle you refer to I think is the spring loaded black button which is for the retro fit garage door opener.

Well thanks. not in a million years would I have guessed the use for the black lever but now you tell me it does make sense.

The ML I have is 10 years old but in amasing nick apart from a few understandable niggles. The gas in the rear door supports is obviously wearing thin. I guess a replacement is the only option.? How much should I expect to pay ? Thank IHM

You do have the options of non-gen struts or having yours regassed. Both for lesser money than OE.
