Ml270cdi alternator change

Hi, looked at threads but can't seem to find much in the way of tips for changing the alternator on my 2002 ML. I live a long way from any garage assistance in rural France, so it has to be a diy job. The vehicle is immobile as the pulley has disintergrated for the second time in four months. I have decided to change the alternator and one is winging it's way to France as I write. I will check all the other pulleys and idlers during the change, however it appears to a tricky job, as I can barely see it below the turbo!!

You will need to change it from underneath and some from top make sure you change the seal for the water jacket, not to bad to do check the tensinor for the belt
