ML320 Baby Seating

I have a 2000 ML320 and have had my daughter's baby seat in the rear center. I was wondering if that is correct (the doors have airbags). I decided to check with MB and they said they only recommend the baby seat to be in the back. I said what about when we have a second kid, they only repeated their intial statement about being in the back. Any suggestions? Are the side-bags and issue?

to the best of my knowledge the side bags are not an issue as fay as child seating goesthey are a smaller less powerfull bag and would only go off with a side impact
