ML320 fuel consumption

I wonder whether any ML320 owners would be kind enough to share with me the MPG that they are getting from their cars.

I'm getting 14 mpg around town, up to around 18-19mpg on a run.

Seems a little worse than I was led to believe would be the case when I bought it. I was expecting 18mpg around town and 22 - 24 ish mpg on a run.

If its ok, then fine I'll live with it as I love the car.

But just wondered if the MPG I'm getting could indicatre a possible problem. If so, is there anything I can check?

Hi Kristoff.
Slightly different i know but i have recently purchased an ML 350, only checked it once and happy to return 20 MPG. Live in the country so no town work but also no motorways or long streches of dual carriageways, also consider myself to be a fairly rapid but very smooth driver. Hope this helps.
