MLK comes 2008

A new MLK will be ready during 2008. Based on the next generation C W204class that comes out 2007. Where as the ML- G and new GL cass are a mixture of one and other, the MLK is a new concept, the same size as a Z3.
There will be a 4,6 and 8 cylinder engine. Built in Bremen around 40,000 will be built, when it does come out it will be in direct competition with the next generation of BMW's X3 and Audis new Q5.

It was back in 2002 that MB finnished it survey saying that 95% of faults were electical and it was down to the customer who did not know how to use them. They promised to leave many things off the new models.

My ML is going back to the dealer on Monday for some debugging. I'll post the full story when it's resolved.

The Stuttgart Niederlassung dealer, where we bought the C-Class, was already with the paperwork, EUR62,500, but I got cold feet...your faults are the main reason I backed out from buying the new ML... I much rather face bills on the old trusty ML until Merc are fully sorted than paying out all the dosh and still having faults!!

I also wanted the 4.2V8 diesel, which wont be available for a year or two, so please keep us posted on your ML, would be very interested in knowing what the current fault line up is.
