hell of a long day from here!
I love this government. They ensured London has a nice high speed rail link to the tunnel (so they could take their hols with ease) and then suddenly couldn't manage to go any further - still I guess the whippet boxes would have added to the cost, let alone the extra headroom for all those flat caps and then we northerners don't like any of that foreign muck anyway!

Halfords are reasonable if you are not a member of Costco.

I've just been on holiday down near Biarritz. Picked up 2 x 5 litre (yes 5 !) containers for just 34.99 euros each. £50 for 10 litres! Thanks for the tip Stumpy.

Regards,

Ron

So why do we pay so much in UK?

Russ

Yes but of which oil? In other words which MB sheet number does the spec meet? Off to France in September. I need it to meet 229.31

Hawk20,
It says MB229.1 on the container.
Mine's a 12 year old C280. I don't need the spec that you mention.
Regards,
Ron

Oh well; never mind. I'll see what they charge for 229.31 when I'm over there. I had a 280, straight six, in an E class around 1990. Fabulous engine. Smooth as silk
