Mobile Speed cameras - want to know where they are??

reintroduced their mobile "safety" cameras on the M1.  
There are no warning signs at all.

These cameras are there solely to catch motorists and to make money as without any signs there can be no deterrent effect.

So, let me get this right...

Northants Police publish the sites daily.
If you want to know where they are, you check their web-site.
If you forget to check the site, you drive anticipating that they will be out there with no signs...

Sounds like a deterent to you speeding?!!!

Putting these things in accident black spots is fair enough by me - but just dropping them here and there to make a bit more dosh is disgusting.   :angry: :angry:

I've never seriously considered buying a "radar detector" for my motor, but this sort of thing (whether publicised or not) simply justifies those who use them.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a boy racer and have as much respect for the law as the average driver.


Radar Detectors:  are there any models available that can detect all the various forms of speed trap e.g. fixed  (GATSO type), hand-held, radar, laser etc. ?????
