Model year / iPod question

Hi,

I am collecting a 58 plate (registered November 2008) C220 CDi SE saloon this week and wondered if this is a 2009 model year car?

Also, it only has two buttons on each side of the steering wheel instead of a multiway 4 button areangement I have seen on some, does this mean I will not be able to use my iPod to navigate playlists and play tracks?

If registered in 2008 then it is classed as 2008.
MB build I believe runs from Sept to Sept so the 2009 build would start in Sept 2008.

Sorry to sound dumb here but if the 2009 model year starts in Sept 2008 and this was registered in November 2008, would that not make it a 2009?

The build run and when registered are two different things.
The car would have be registered in 2009 to be classed as an 09 car
It will be the same as an 09 model, just a bit older

Actual year of registration is what counts. The '5' is just for formality sake which carries on to mid of the following year!

The question, which you kindly answered, was more about spec than age. Ie. did MB add anything new for the model 2009. You answered that by saying it will be the same as an 09 model in terms of kit so thanks for that.

Maybe I'll ask the iPod question separately.

Not correct. My car is an 08 plate delivered June 2008 and is MY09.

The MY is often shown on the datacard and is the only sure way of knowing.

Registration year can be misleading as cars can sit for months before being registered.
