This is from the Gov Site.

Legislation will be introduced on 30 March 2020 and will come into immediate effect for 12 months, following a short consultation with key organisations. Drivers will still need to get their vehicle tested until the new regulations come into place, if they need to use it.

If you can’t get an MOT that’s due because you’re in self-isolation, the Department for Transport is working with insurers and the police to ensure people will not be negatively affected as a result of things that are out of their control.

Your vehicle’s MOT expiry date will be updated about 7 days before it was originally due to expire.

If the expiry date has not been extended 3 days before it was due to expire, email covid19mot@dvsa.gov.uk.

I hope that helps.....

Just checked and my SLK was due 15th June - now due 15th December - as I've just had it serviced by MBS I'm not going to be MOT'ing it before December now :)

I prefer my MOT’s at the start of the warmer months , that way if it fails I’ve got the chance of fixing it whilst feeling my fingers :D
