my merc failed mot cause off a rusted holed rear sill
and inner arch
spent yesterday patching it up and got a mot date for tomorrow again so hope it passes
that coating mercedes use on cars was hard to remove had to burn it off
when car passes im gonna remove it all cause there is pockets of water in it and thats the problem

How did you repair the holes

i cut out bad bit and welded metal over the hole
welded right around patch with acytelyne and same with arch

They look for a continious weld and you have to leave the weld bare for inspection

passed my mot tonight thank goodness
im now gonna tidy her up
mine is a 1994 c200 there is 200,000 nearly on clock
hope i get a couple more years out of her
