Hi all,

Long story but the Wife and I will shortly be looking into a Motability vehicle for her younger sibling who has learning needs but we know very little about Motability and how it works, other than it being a lease vehicle with the cost being covered by the local authority.

We’ve had a letter from our local authority advising us of the amount of weekly allowance we’re, rather her sister is entitled to for her mobility.

Does anyone have any real world advice about how we should proceed and other useful considerations we should make?

Any help at all would be gratefully received. Thanks in advance.

In my experience, the dealers working with Motability are your very best source of advice.

We looked into this for my SIL (but she died before she could avail).

M6 Cab - prior to that, SL63 AMG, A-M V8 Vantage, SL55, SL500 and many more
You need up front to get (free) specialist advice. My son had Motability allowance but we used it to buy a car, so different to what is seen as "Motability". The CAB is probably the best best.

Never had one but am aware of drivers getting hit with lots of costs on return for damages
