I guess he got too greedy and should have quit while ahead.

Also shows how disgracefull our legal system is that he got away with soo many claims

What on earth do you mean by quote: 'quit while ahead' the man was a ****** crook and deserved to be caught, prosecuted followed by a good term in prison (no doubt he will get community service as a result of him being good to his Granny and hard done by) THEN he should be made to pay the ill gotten gains back.

I for one have no sympathy he and all the other dodgers who cause the rest of us to suffer increased insurance premiums need dealing with as hard as possible and hit where it hurts - in their pockets:mad: I'll say I am

I guess I should have rephrased it better. LOL yes I think its wrong specially when all of us have to pay for his dodgy claims by our higher premiums. But he should have been spotted alot sooner so it didnt get this far....

I mean over £1.5 M is alot of money to be getting from accidental claims

Yes and no one has mentioned the gang that operated on the roundabout in Westhoughton.

There's a lot of this in the North West.

Granted driving to close is one or swerving across lanes into your 'thinking' distance could be another. I guess at the end of the day if cretin's like this want to cause an accident they will, being an advanced driver, alert, thinking ahead leaving ample distance etc can only minimise the risk so much. If someone is set on causing an accident they will. But I guess they will pick the less 'experienced' drivers as prey. Also I guess it was a roundabout he chose for a reason due to lots more distractions for the driver than just the car ahead of them.

Very true, but you don't need to wait for long on any journey to find someone driving too close behind you. At cruising speed, if you can not see their number plate in your inside rear view mirror, they are too close.

The significance of that observation is that, if you have to slow down or stop, you must take account of the vehicle behind as well as the situation in front.

If the driver behind is using a cell phone or applying makeup, it adds an extra dimension!
