Multicontour seats failing after a 30 seconds or so.

Hello,

I wonder if any one can help. The multi contour seats in my E350 fail after 30 seconds or so. Each time I start the car they pump up and all the controls work but 30 seconds to a minute later they deflate. This happens every time. I thought I had cured the problem (by mistake) when routing around near the compressor, they worked continuously for several weeks but now the problem has reoccured. I cannot seem to repeat the fix, and have tried wiggling all the looms around the compressor. Has anyone goy any ideas? Many thanks in advance.

they do that - usually an air pipe has fractured and the pump is working too hard

a lot of money and a lot of pain and suffering to TRY and resolve

there is a lot of 3 year old, out of control, play group engineering skills, inside the joke seats this manu "buys", likely finds in a skip, would more closely resemble the mess you'll come across

Thank you. Could a fractured pipe in one seat effect both? I as thinking it could be electrical as I managed to get them working consistently for several weeks.

same system, an air leak is an air leak - the pump isn't supposed to run continuously - it just gets some pressure and goes to sleep - when its all going walk-about it times out to stop the fire....
