Hi All

I have a 2015 C220D manual (love it)

never any issues till this weekend!!!!!

I was accelerating onto a roundabout and noticed that the engine decided to only allow say 70% of the power and suddenly the accelerator pedal became much more stiff and its stayed this way since - the MPG suffers also as im getting about 5-10MPG less now

i left it for about 12 hours and tried again and it seemed to be ok for a while, then again when I went to accelerate quite hard the pedal became stiff and here we are again

there are no warning lights and the car seems ok and I have no issues other than this - its almost like the on board computer thinks something is wrong and has decided to not allow me to exceed 2000 revs

any ideas?

The car is/was in limp mode to protect the engine due to a fault . The car will have a fault code but as you say may not have triggered the engine management light yet .
where do you live for an MB specialist? Unless you recently bought the car and still have warranty ?
Does the car have Mobilio breakdown cover through MB ? They will scan the car
As will RAC/AA

It could be as simple as a split boost pipe, but really you need to get it to a garage to check. STAR diagnostic system will give you the most thorough information.
I don't know if you use an MB dealer or an MB independent. If you post up whereabouts you are based then if in the UK I'm sure that someone will recommend an MB independent, which will be cheaper than a dealer.
