I have Water leaks in both bay windows, the utility room as well as the front porch. The lead work on the roof is rather porous & I was out on the weekend re pointing the outside toilet to stop the roof blowing away. I love old houses

Can he fix it ???

Not sure if my house is still standing but I've just watched one of the office car park's lamp posts explode.

I'll be heading up to Aberdeen in the next few hours as I'm meant to be going offshore tomorrow - here's hoping the gales get worse and I get a couple of days in a North East pub !

Although I hope your house survives ;)

Just dismantled my patio heater canopy which the wind kindly started for me.

My god I forgot about that, better look out the window and see if it is still there!

Luckily the van is in dry dock at Enza today with the clutch problem. It is definitely not a day to be driving an 11ft tall van around the country. I have a trip to Gretna tomorrow but that may be in a smaller hire van if mine isn't ready.

My house is fine, its just the huge aerial that I have to have on this 12foot mast, it moves almost a meter at the top.
The grass box for one of my mowers has gone

The main thing the car is all tucked up and warm.:D

I'm about 10 miles from the south coast at the foot of the south downs. We've been without elastic trickery for the last 3 hours :( back on now though (obviously)...

Look on the brightside, your hose pipe ban has been lifted :D

100 mph according to the news. We've got trees down all over the place. Glad I'm working from home today.

it's supposed to get a bit cold up north net week though. They were talking about fairly large amounts of snow I believe. Couple of our guys are in Inverness next week so they've been keeping an eye on the weather. One is flying to Edinburgh for a couple of meetings then driving up to Inverness. That should be fun if it snows.

There was heavy snow this morning in the Borders and North of the M8. Both the M9 and M90 were closed for a while in places as lorries could not make the long gradients. We had a covering of snow here this morning but it's gone now.

End of the world!!!!!!!!!

As I am sat writing this post I can feel the house moving very slightly in the strong gusts:-? Do you think I should run for it??

A building 100feet away from me has just lost three feet of it's chimney stack!!!!!!!!!

I am getting slightly worried?
Bob.

You all have my sympathy ,for what it's worth, hope it doesn't get any worse. The south of the country seems to get worse weather than we do these days.
