Jason....nice pics.   The phone setup looks great.  But, if there's one vital thing my c-class is lacking, it's a cup holder!   Sad but true.

Is that a standard MB part or what ?

The cupholder part number is :

b6 692 0102  and according to my wee book its £23.44

if you got an e class its a diferent cupholder:

B6 692 0101 must be about the same price

They are pretty good . they  can hold two cups . One in the body and another within the arm type device that swings up.

Even if you don't drink in the car , its worth it to watch the arm sweep up.

I have one for the a class too , cost me £60 and has an integrated 4 cd holder into it and goes below the stereo

If anyone is interested in making a purchace , let me know.

erm, the w202, w208 and w210 have the same cupholder, it says so on the instructions that come with it, what's with the other part number for the e-class?

You're right about watching the cup holder motion, it's mesmerising  .

NO , trust me , they are diferent cupholders.

when dad went from his W202 to the W210 he had to get a diferent one , the crevice is a diferent shape , its alot more shallow.

i can see the w202 one fitting into the w208 , but not the w210

Very cool car Jason

Like the interior, and a Nak head unit, I thought they had withdrawn from the HiFi market, my dad has a Nakamichi separates system for the house. Becker Mexico in his W124.

Are the camera/radar detectors worth their salt? and do cops take a dim view of them if they see the set-up in the car?

Cracking motor :)

Guys, thanks for the cup holder part number.  My wife has located one and is picking it up on her way home tonight.

I expect we'll be heading for the drive-thru this weekend

Steve.

If people want radar detectors, then let them have them as far as i'm concerned, but its my experience that when i stop someone with one fitted, a quick peek at their licence usually reveals a "Serial speeder", which leads me to deduce that the detectors don't work!!

Hmm , point taken. ..

But, in the time i have had mine , it has proved to be quite good at rooting out the cash machines with the flashguns at the side of the road.

It has also picked up a lovely wee tripod KA minigatso, lidar tripod in the back of the van .

The only thing it does not do it the specs system and the vascar.

the only thing i found to be a problem was the forward facing ones in cambridge on the a14 , but the new gps detector gets everything except vascar

This is going to sound really sanctimonious, but you could also stick to the speed limit!! I mean that's why i have a car with such a modest engine!!
