W251, S211 320 cdi Avantgarde (2005), W202 250 td (now sold), W245 with lots of extras
Hi All,
As some of you may know I am a regular on this forum.
Sadly I will be giving up my w202 (c class) via ebay/autotrader this week. (If anyone is interested PM. The car is a 250TD esprit 235000 on the clock)

Following advice on the forum I have purchased a S211. 320 cdi avangarde with the extra seats.
It is a very different car. I like the power and the toys, but need some assistance with some basics.

The car car does not appear to have space saver wheel nuts. is this normal? (i.e. does it use the standard wheel nut size even for the spare?)

How can I determine the type of audio system I have (it has sat nav, 6 stack cd unit, dvd, but no tv?)

The unit has aux (AV), but how can I get to it? There is no cable/socket in the glove box. Do I need to purchase an I pod jack/convertor? if so can anyone recommend a place

The guy who sold it to me gave me a car kit phone adaptor for a nokia 6300. It is a blue tooth unit, which I thought would be great. It works with the 6300phone, but not with any other bluetooth phone.. Any ideas why?

The cover the hides contents in the back is great. When I open the boot it lifts up, however I can't work out why it does not do this every time!

And finally...
I am thinking of getting a tow bar. WOuld I be correct in thinking that I should get a WESTFALIA?

Thanks in advance...
Suki

Hello Suki,

Glad to hear you found a car. What colour and plate?

You should put some pictures up so we can all enjoy it.

The COMAND experts will be along soon to answer your query.

My towbar was a Westfalia detachable - worth the extra for the detachable, because it's only there when you need it and the rear lines are clean when you don't

Well done,

Hi Developer/John,
thanks for your prompt reply.
I trust you managed to sell you car.?
I will send pictures, but I am rather embarrassed at how dirty it is..
I purchased a 55 plate in black, full leather and the extra seats.:)

(can't wait to see pictures of yours too!)
Regards
Suki

Hi NPUK,
thanks for the reply.
When you say I don't have an aux does this mean that I don't have the cable, or the unit does not support aux? (it says aux in the screen, but this could be just a software issue i suppose)

Regarding the 6300 cradle. The cradles only function (as far as I can see ) is to charge the unit and to provide a bluetooth connection. If my understanding is correct why will it not connect to other bluetooth compliant devices?

All about mine (also black) is on a thread entitled "the search for my next car is over"

Assuming it's a good one you won't regret it - they are fab cars.
