I've read through many great pages of oil selection (including understanding specifications, thank-you Oilman and others), so while selecting an oil that is a match for my engine mechanics, do I need to be cautious of the Mercedes Maintenance systems ability to monitor oil quality? Granted I always ran Mobile 1 syn. in my 2002 CLK55AMG, but I have seen many color variations in non-synthetic new oils, and would not want to have this lead to my maintenance system interpreting new oil as needing changed.
On this topic, a German Gentleman owns and runs an independent Auto Haus near me (over 25 years now), also a Porche authorized service center, and swears by Lubro Molly full synthetic (they did not mention this in 2005-2007 when they did Mobil 1 changes to the 55AMG). I had never heard of Lubro Molly, and do not see it referenced to speak almost everywhere?
Thank you in advance anyone sharing their experiences.
