Sorted now thanks mate, it was the 2 plastic tabs at top rear of cage, ended up just he-manning it out.
Also realised that as I have a parrot installed, I dont actually need the head unit, so am going for a tablet install. Will stick up some pics if it doesn't end up looking like a teenagers clio.

Finally completed Volume 3 :D

Good stuff. I use the hold function all the time, but, is it best practice to move into N rather than stay in D? I heard somewhere that the Torque converter can get warm if N is not selected for long periods of time.

Middle of summer, central Germany, 37 degrees, on HOLD at the lights for a few minutes, leaving it in D should be vell vizin ze design parameters. Stuck in traffic for more than a couple of minutes, probably best to put it in N.

I hate to think how many times this has been discussed on this forum. Gets people people very polarised - look up the “How to drive an auto” thread that grew arms and legs, went to school, then college, got a job, retired and died a slow and painful death by the time it finished although it gets resurrected regularly...

I think the how to drive an auto conversation was ongoing long before Mr Berners-Lee invented 'threads' :)

Is it just behind the DPF threads?

Well one of the threads went to 24 pages and 461 responses, so I think it's ahead of the DPF's...

Also just leave it in D when you stop at a traffic lights...
