Hello,
I have a Zappi V2 installed at home, installed by Octopus (without solar panels) and I've been attempting to utilise the 'scheduled boost' function in accordance with Octopus Agile to benefit from low rates. For example, last night I programmed the Zappi to charge during half-hour intervals when the rate dropped below 3p.
My vehicle is a Mercedes EQA 250+ and I use a Zappi V2.
Following the instructions, I set the Zappi to Eco+ mode and adjusted the slider (although I've been informed it's irrelevant without solar panels). I scheduled the boost to commence when rates fell below 3p. My car's battery was at 20%. The rates were under 3p last night from 2:30 am to 5:30 am, a total of 3 hours, which is insufficient to reach the 80% maximum I had set. However, this was not a concern as I didn't need the car this morning and there are additional rates below 3p from 10 am to 4 pm today to complete the charging.
So, I expected the charging to begin at 2:30 am, continue until 5:30 am, then pause and resume at 10 am. Yet, to my surprise, this morning the charge had reached 80%.
Upon connecting the charger last night, it immediately began charging. I had read that this might occur briefly, so I dismissed it, assuming it would cease shortly.
This issue isn't isolated; it has occurred previously. I've tried stopping the charge via the Myenergi app, but it resumes after a few minutes, and each morning I find the car fully charged, seemingly disregarding the Zappi boost schedule I set, with the Zappi indicating 'charge completed'.
I'm wondering if there is a setting on the car itself that I need to adjust?
