Name that noise!

I think chain noise, but the timing chain is tight against the cam sprocket (can be grabbed through the oil filler). So probably oil pump chain?

My Roadster makes a noise like that too. Been doing it for ages....
Its going to be sorted by my local mechanic who reckons he can change the chains in no time.

My Roadster makes a noise like that too. Been doing it for ages....
Its going to be sorted by my local mechanic who reckons he can change the chains in no time.

Yeah this one has been doing it for 8k, seems to be maybe 5% worse in that time.

How much is he charging? Im tempted to just leave it until it gets worse. I may look in the filter for metal bits at the next service.

Engine out and replacement can be done trivially in half a day :p
