Navigator firt for W220 1999

Good day to all!
I have a problem trying to buy a new navigation system that fits in my W220 1999.
I actually bought a couple of the in the Internet and the advertising was saying that would exactly fit my car but once I got them they did not fit at all.
Laterally, and especially on the upper part of the device the piece of plastic is too large to fit in the pre-exsting place
This is the example of what I bought online but does not fit!!!
and all of them , even of a different brand are all produced in China from the same factory

That will never fit your car unless you change the front fascia to the face lift model. The tiny original comand 2.5 was updated in 2004 some time.

Can you explain exactly what do you mean?
Do I have to buy a different part of fascia before installing the device?
if yes which one?

This unit is not going to fit your car very easily as you have found out.

To fit it you would need to find a scrapped / damaged later car that used the later system, and you would need the main face panel and mountings for the comand, not an easy job, but can be done. This unit is also not compatible with your CD changer or phone if fitted.

The seller miss sold you this unit as it will not fit any pr mid 2004 car.
