Hi,

the above sat nav, is it any good? I am not looking for a top range sat nav (the ones that can connect with the phone etc or the one which can sign and dance!) just something that can get me from A to B.

TomTom man myself !
Had a TT one for 4 years before dropping it, doesn't like concrete (RIP).
Just bought another tho!

i used to have a navman, cost then was about £150, as you said didnt make your tea but always got me there if any help!!!

I bought one of the first Navmans that came out and paid.... £499!! But it still works (a collegue bought it) and really was good with full european cover!

I bought a Sony NAV-U83 about 3 weeks ago, £120.00 including delivery. Includes free first year of Speed Cam updates and has bluetooth for hands free for my mobile. Up to now I'm quite impressed with it.

ive sold more sat navs than a bloke who has sold about 73 sat navs

navman are awful, i had the photo one and its bad, i sold it to a mte who loves it!

ive had litterally every sat nav out there and ill stick with my tomtom xl uk & ireland

its got all the cameras, all the average speed jobbies and its cheap

dont get the euro or world ones as they take longer to calculate stuff and go wrong easier

my xl syncs with my mobile (N73) and is just superb
