Hi everybody,

Is it possible to purchase a new glass for the n/s door mirror? mine has become worn. can I buy one from a general parts suplier eg motorwold, or does it have to be from MB dealer.

the car type would be helpful , 99% of the time door mirror glass can be replaced by general parts suppliers like german and swedish and euro car parts.

Hi Phil,

This may be a silly question, but how does a door mirror become WORN..?

The silvering gets moisture in it causing poor visibility

Your best bet is a stick on one from Halfords or Parts co at £10, and the heater if fitted still works ok

I was just wondering. By the way TELEVISION - took your advice on increasing my tyre pressures from 30psi to 33psi - MUCH better. The tyres sit a lot better on the road - and no significant 'bulge' on the low-profile walls - thanks!

The silvering has worn away, I have purchased one from local car spares supplier £9.00

and heater still works ok. Vehicle is a 1987 300TE I bought it from a workmate for £220.00, for it's age it is in remarkably good condition, there are some electric problems but I'm slowly getting round them (radio won't work unless sidelights are on!!!) anyway thanks for the replies
