My 2011 E350 PDF Filter according to Mercedes in Knoxville needs replaced, at 2800.00 bucks. do i need this to run correctly or leave it off, anyway around this item?i need some help!! Thanks!

I would get a price from a standard garage rather than MB .
Is there an option to clean the dpf when it’s removed ? Plenty on YouTube

On what basis are they saying it needs replacing?

It is illegal to drive a car that has had the DPF removed or tampered with and it's an instant MOT fail

Out of curiosity what is your mileage?

i've found some PDF Filters online 1g-1100.00 mercedes says they can't clean it, imagine that! starting to think best bet rent a trailer with winch tow it home to my mechanic and have him do it!
