Diesel engines are more worthwhile to modify giving a useful gain, plenty out there.

Easy first step would be a re-map or re-chip. Try Brabus, will depend on the age of the car and mileage (as to whether Brabus will support it)

as above - lots of options, from cheap ebay to brabus £££ - depends on your budget. Start with ebay and do some research.
Lots of firms off a no quibble guarantee so you've nothing to lose really.
