Need to get into boot (98'c230)

Hi all, great site.

Dilemma, flat battery, as i've always used the remote key fob to open boot, i've found the boot lock corroded so the key wont go in (have loaded with WD), i wonder if i can put a 12v supply to somewhere under the bonnet or through the cig lighter to power the car then pull boot switch on console, i had the boot open yesterday and disconnected the battery ready for charging today, shut the boot but it some how locked it's self?

any advice?

Yes a small12 volt power supply can run the pump to open the boot from the cigar lighter with the key turned to 1 or 2 (if it will) other than that you can put 12v onto the thick lead on the starter motor, you could also have a terminal block under the bonnet, thats a large red and black terminal block.

Any of the above will run the pump so that you can unlock the boot

I cant get the key to 1 or 2, I thought there might be a terminal block but cant find it?, i just went to Maplins for a ciggy charger & ran it off my van but no joy..maybe because the battery is disconnected?

If you can get to the starter motor under the inlet manifold you can jump it to there

Larry your cig lighter charger won't work unless you can turn the ignition switch to 1 or 2.
Have as look in the Ecu compartment at the passenger side rear of the engine bay, there may be a small rectangular black box about 3"x 2"with a hinged lid.Inside there are three terminals all of which are +ve and if you connect leads from a battery here and to a good earth point you should be able to pop your locks using the dash switch whether your battery is connected or not.
