Last weekend we went out shopping for a used A Class for my wife; after I bought the Coupe a year ago, she has hankered after a Merc of her own. We intended to go for a late old model - 04 reg or there abouts. Well that was the plan.
After taking both out for a drive, it was obvious that the new model represents a huge re-think for MB. While the old was still a good car, every niggle we found with the old model was addressed successfully by the new model. I came away from the test drive seriously impressed, and I don't mind admitting, a little bit jealous of my wive's new purchase.
Even though the price of a (used) new model is a big step up from the old, we settled on an A180 CDI Avantegarde which we collect this Friday - looking forward to it!
