C220 2013
Hi,

I currently have the 2013 C CLASS DIESEL SALOON C220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY Executive SE 4dr my current car has 37.000 Miles.

This was part of a lease and the lease period is over on the 20th of December this year.

I have been give an offer of £11.500 if I wanted to buy my existing car (my car has new tyres and has been serviced recently).

I would be getting a car allowance of around £300 a month.

I was also looking at the new C250 2017 amg line premium plus + driving assistance pack + night mode (18' inch) + 360 camera,

The new C250 would come to approx to 48 months X £390 monthly with a down payment of £4000 and a ballon payment of £15000 .

I am also considering looking for a used C250 with very low mileage (approx £28000 ) but most of them dont offer any of the packages above apart from the premium package.

The idea of bUYING a new car would have been, buy to keep it for the years to come and build it exactly as I wanted.

What would you do and why ?

1)Keep existing car
2)Buy new
3)Buy used

Also from the pakcages above, in your opinion, which ones do you think are worth it and which ones are a waste of money and why?

There is a night package ( a bit more expensive) with 19' wheels so if anyone has any idea how that handles and if this is worth it please let me know.

Any help is appreciated .

Thanks

OK so realistically whatever you do has to fit into this figure. Not insurmountable.

I was also looking at the new C250 2017 amg line premium plus + driving assistance pack + night mode (18' inch) + 360 camera,

VERY nice indeed. The 360 camera is a really neat feature.

If you have a car allowance then why would you want to buy a car, why not go for the PCP/ lease route, just hand your new one back in at the end?

Depends on what you use and where you go but 19" boots are usually a good deal more expensive than 18"; also 19" is a lot crashier over potholes than 18"

Any help is appreciated .

Thanks

Why restrict yourself to the C class, have you considered looking at the E at all?

Gross or Net?

If net you will get £240 which would easily cover the cost of buying your current car

Take the % tax you pay off so either 20% or 40%

20% £390
40% £270
