New CLK55 AMG owner (hopefully)

Hi all, total MB newbie needing help.

I've put a deposit down on a 53 CLK55 AMG today subject to an inspection. Does anybody know an independent MB specialist in the midlands area who could offer this service ??

If not do MB offer it I know porsche does or did.

Make sure all - and I mean all - the electrics work. Like does the headrest retract when you tip the seat back forward? Do the headlamp washers work? Are there any clicking noises from inside the dash when you switch the climate control to recirculate etc.? All these little things add up to large bills!

Geography :-S

Hi, thanks, really appreciate the replies, seems my geography is awful and the car is in the east midlands. Does anyone know anyone closer to the peterborough?spalding area ?

Also failing that any major things to look out for or be aware of (apart from electrics, thanks grayb)

Also check the general threads on buying advice - the gearbox oil changes for example, or the spark plug replacement. The engines shouldn't give any trouble of course! Other than to your wallet at the petrol station and to your points on your licence if you're careless...
