Havent amg got massive discs that are model specific ie they are ****** expensive?

Discs and pads for wifes w203 c320 £102, for my E430 which are bigger than std e class but smaller than e55 were £130 ish both non oe.

Iirc mb oe e55 2 part discs copies one piece as per std cars

I recently had front discs/pads and rear pads fitted by local MB dealer - total cost - a few pennies short of £500 !!!

That's what I was thinking - All I have to do now is fit them. not forgetting to disconnect the batteries.

You don't have to do that do you - you can just remember not to open the door(s).

I have heard ollie say that you do not open a door to wake the car up, but just back to last weekend my SBC just started up out of the blue and ran for some time, so I do not think that I would trust it either

You cant grumble at that price :D

One of my disc was a pig to get off, I was hitting it with a 2 lb hammer for ages, my garage friend just popped in went to his van got a 4lb hammer and one swipe and it was off

4lb we're in the realms of lump & sledge hammers - precision engineering at it's best.

One of my old Xr4s i had to use a grinder to remove a disk! that was only spost to be a 15 min job, took over a hour in the end!!

4lb we're in the realms of lump & sledge hammers - precision engineering at it's best.

At least the old disc is scrap anyway always better to lower the wishbone down onto a stand or something solid, this takes all of the bounce out when hitting it, one good hit if you are lucky. Clean the hub well, picture 1 and spray up the disc, they look so nice, and it last. High temp aerosol and wipe it off the disc surface pic 2
