Some of you may remember I had a problem with a leak from my Auto Box following an ATF change. After several very stressful weeks going back and forth to my local garage (indi), I purchased the propper MB dipstick and watched him check the level. There was approx 1.5L too much ATF in the system and it had been blowing out from somewhere. The level was dropped to the correct level and I haven't seen any more sign of a leak.

Since the leak, the engine over revs before changing from 3rd to 4th gear. Has this been caused by the over filling, what is most liklely wrong and what to do.

I had a similar problem with my W203 with over reving and very jerky changes. After clearing all of the fault codes which had been logged (car had been sitting for a few weeks and had a dead battery which was changed when I picked the car up), the auto box felt like new again. No more probs since (reaching for my wooden desk as I type). Would this help with the W163 ??

Cheers,
Mark

Probably a valve body problem.

Need to read the fault codes really.
