New GLA - constant noise

I have a new GLA 200, c1k miles on the clock after 3 months.

For the past week there has been a constant low level “whirring” noise in the car. It can be heard at all times in the cabin when the engine is off - the noise remains even if the car hasn’t been driven for a couple of days. It cannot be heard when driving.

I cannot locate the source of the noise. With the bonnet up it appears to originate from back drivers side of the engine compartment - or it is in the cabin itself behind the instrument panel.

No warning lights and doesn’t affect driving - been on a 100 mile trip today.

I would be grateful for any suggestions regarding the cause or resolution. Thanks.

With only 1,000 miles on it, my suggestion is to take it straight back to the dealer for diagnosis! Some brand new vehicles can still have early issues.

Another vote for take it back. If something is running all the time, there is a danger it will flatten the battery
