Hi guys, I've just registered.

I'm looking to start meeting up with other Benz owners.

I'll spend some time looking around the Forum, get an idea of what goes on and who's about.

I've noticed the Forum which relates to Meets & Events - I shall browse through this.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and hopefully I'll hear back from some of you.

Thanks for reading.

Hi buddy.

Again, thanks for commenting on my car. I've always loved the 208 from the moment it came out. I kept telling my dad to get one but he kept stalling! haha.

So was was I supposed to do?! Get one myself.

In general, you can make any big German car look great with just a big set of wheels.. but I soon discovered that there is much more you can do to make it stand out.

As for keeping it indoors.... actually I don't.

It kills me to have to leave it at the mercy of the elements! I live on a quiet road and have a big drive so it's kept out of harms way at least.

So what I do, is keep it waxed (it never goes more than 2 weeks without wax) and keep on top of the maintanence and grooming. I treat all the plastics, rubbers, leathers, trim, engine bay, wheels, tyres...everything basically to prtoect it from weathering.

Having said all this, I have just had planning permission approved for a double garage -woohoo!!.... then I'll keep it ridiculously clean.

:D

There is a big meet in Portsmouth on May 16th. It shall be good and its not a million miles from where you are.

Hi mate.

Portsmouth, eh?... sounds like a plan.

I had a look on a few threads regarding meets and got alittle lost in all the posts... I couldn't seem to find definate dates and venues. Is there anyway I can find out about meets/ dates that are set in stone?

:)

Click below for details of the Portsmouth meet. This one is set in stone and well worth going to. Hell, i am travelling from scotland. After the meet there was talk of a meal/drinks etc to make it a weekend.

Liking the rims buddy

Hi buddy.
thanks... they're actually replica Carlsson 1/16 rims... took me ages to find rims I liked. The genuine rims really are "next level"! but I didn't fancy the price tag! haha. Not until I can keep them in a garage away from the elements anyway.

They take a while to clean & wax but it's well worth it!

Heeey Cornwall!

A friend of mine in the Royal Engineers was based down there not that long ago (Near Taunton anyway).

It was a great drive!

Im close to Lincoln but I thought that was more accurate

Hahah. Funny as hell, man. Again, well done.

55, eh?!... much respect.

I was planning to keep my car for good - hence the work I've done to it. But my dad's thrown a spanner in the works.... he wants a new car (newer than his current H reg E-Class, anyway) and recently said "why don't I have your car.. I can burn the sh#t out of it and you can get a new one"... needless to say, I was not excited about the prospect of him "burning the sh#t" out of it as he put it!!

... but it did get me thinking....V8???!!!!

The sound of the V8 is just awesome. I even downloaded a classical music CD yesterday as I thought the sound of the V8 deserved something more grandiose to accompany it than hip-hop or heavy metal
