Hi all!

My names Matt from Manchester. I'm 30, and have a bit of a problem when it comes to cars...i.e. keeping interested!
in the last 3 years ive had a few BMW's etc.. - an E46 M3, a 645ci, a Range Rover Vogue, and a Honda S2000. Needed something with back seats now, baby due in October...so the S2k had to go. we do have another 4 door car....

Never had a Merc before,,,,,So i have decided on the CLK 55 AMG :D its a late 2003 model with 44,000mls on it. in silver.

here she is -

Hi Matt and welcome to the Forum.

What a fabulous car - super condition and modest mileage.

More pics that we can drool over would be appreciated when time permits.

Hi Matt, welcome to the forum. There are quite a few of us up here in the northwest. We are having a get together at MBTECH in Warrington on 23rd August. There is a thread on the meet in the meetings section of the forum. Would be nice to look at your beast.

Nice car, but I don't think your wife will thank you for buying a 2 door when it comes to putting the baby in the rear seat.

Where else can you get that much fun per pound, plus modest mileage, plus built after the era when there were rust problems. A great buy.

on the test drive i didnt really get chance to 'gunn it' so cant wait to open it up properly. wonder how much different it will be to my M3?? probably more similar to the 6 series.... hoping for much better tho!

It will be much better than M3 and 6 series, that engine is really something and will surely put a smile on your face. The interior is way better than any BMW

Actually, it's not the big problem you imagine. Dropping the rear windows gives a whole heap of extra elbow room that makes kids in the back a doddle. You can even close them after from the key as you lock up.
