New member needing help with alarm/imobaliser c180 nreg

hi can anyone help, i have a c180 n reg 1995 and my problem is when i unlock the car the doors open but the rear view mirrow flashes red and green when i trie to start the car,is the imobaliser on and if so how can i bypass it, i have changed my batterise in the key fob and still the same problem.
any help would be apprecated.many thanks martin
