13 Months old and 6000 miles, has a lot of extras and saved a fortune over new.

TV with Freeview, Designo Umber, Active front seats, Harman Logic 7, Rear blind (electric), 5 Spoke alloys (18" :-( ) - NO CUP HOLDER!!! wheres me MaccyD coffee going to go ?

Love the sound  , love the shape, performance is "interesting" I have not booted it yet as I like to get to know things first but it has a seamless power curve that is addictive.

Build quality seems good (better than my Lexus GS) and apart from a rogue relay in the passenger seat - everything works as it should.

The active seats are superb and a must once experienced - they add an extra dimension in twisty bits and I cant believe all dont have them ?

Buying experience was initially good but tapered off:
No manual, one key, no binder, no service book (new one inc with no car info)
Hole in dash where dimmer should be, tyre pressures vary by 1 barr (1.8 to 2.8)

All this is sorted now but took the edge off the experience, just need to sort the passenger seat relay and all will be ok.

Will post more when I have driven more

Cheers
Dave :D

Thanks guys I hope to contribute in my own small way - the Merc dealers could learn a lot from the Lexus guys, maybe I am spoilt ? there seems to be a lot of pressure on the dealer to get good feedback but selling a £50k car with a hole in the dash and duff tyre pressures is plain poor

The tyre pressure monitor system is a nightmare and seldom works properly in the older cars. The newer cars like yours are better but still have problems.

The MB dealers work on CSI (customer service index) results to get better discounts from MB etc and to be top of the list for customer service means alot to them.

That explains a lot... lets see how the clicking relay in the passenger seat is dealt with - they thought the passenger active seat was broken as it wouldnt latch on but when I suggested maybe you have to sit in it to make it work - then all was ok !!!

I have the tyre presure monitors, but I have not transfered them form the old wheels, at £88 a lump x 4 is it worth it.

I see that other firms make these things I wonder if they are on the same frequency

There was talk of these becoming standard for 2007

Black - Just heated - I am a bit techie and thought it may be something coming on / off but with everything off the drivers side is silent but not the passengers - you cant hear it when driving but I know its there so I will get it checked..

Them not knowning the active seat button doesnt latch on when the seat is empty is very poor - shows you how many people use it I guess

Television - Cant comment on reliability but imagine you have stumped up the cash and get 500 yards when the speedo centre turns yellow then red with 1.8 to 2.8 and all 4 wheels on differing pressures - I had a little paddy in the showroom (I was already peeved at no manual, key, service book, dash hole) so they checked and it was spot on - the tyres were all over the place.

They will probably give you a duplicate service book.

Refuse it and ask for the original.

If they can't produce it. Paddy even more.

Get your dealer to pop one in. I assume you have the same centre console cubby hole between the arm rest and the gearshift as I have in my E. It slots into there and comes out like a transformer. Around £50 from your dealer but given the hassle I'd have them throw one in for free.
