Hi everyone! Thanks for being welcomed here

I'm new fan of w208 with bigger engines and will be getting w208 amg in the future, currently got X reg clk 430 150k miles( bought it cheap :) ). Loving it, the pull and the sound, got used to the oversteering too. Had it only 3 months now, but about 2 weeks ago i noticed some liquid on my drive under the front part of the car (under the gearbox position i guess), not too much but enough to be noticed, i would say 200ml of oil i guess. The picture i managed to take with the phone without lifting the car up is attached. I could see some part where it appeared covered in oil, hope it can be seen by anyone who could tell me what is it and what to fix. Few days ago the leaking stopped or almost stopped as no new big marks on where i park it. Any opinions would be appreciated and thanks for having me here... 20190728_143133.jpg 20190728_143156.jpg 20190728_143120.jpg 20190728_143133.jpg 20190728_143156.jpg 20190728_143120.jpg

Hello and welcome

Check your gearbox oil level (if you haven’t done so already)

Thanks for giving me a clue Blobcat and hello carlis too! By the looks of it it could be gearbox leak? Are those expencive to fix?(obv it depends but on avg?...:) still driving it and no other changes when driving since i got it... sorry if this kind of problem is too minor or too big to write this car off... p.s. and this rusty bolt seen in picrute( belonging to suspention i believe) any meaningfull in terms of driving safety? Cheers

The oil leak may have stopped because the oil level in the sump is now below the point at which it was leaking .
As above , get yourself a dipstick from eBay for a few quid , I'm guessing you have a 5g gearbox with a capped dispstick tube in the engine bay ??
Have a look in the engine bay to see if the leak is coming from somewhere higher up and just dripping down onto the gearbox

Welcome looks too far back to be engine or gearbox, can't see any oil underneath further forward.
What about final drive or diff?

Hi sorry haven't been around for couple days, but there isnt any difference in driving, except when in D mode and holding breaks on, the car seems to be shaking a little bit and revs jumping up and down a little bit as revs stay at around 500-600 which is a bit low. Thinking if there is not enough oil in the gearbox that could be causing it( it is harder for the engine to turn it and thats why revs a bit low and car shaking a little bit when lets say waiting at the red light). Need to find some time to take it to mechanics to lift it up and have a look. Dont want to break the gearbox in case there is not enough oil there. As for engine bay - can not see any leaks around engine nor anywhere when looking from the top of bonnet :) thanks for your thoughts good people, helping each other within this community! Will update asap. Cheers!

P.s. what is this part called that's covered in oil seen in picture? Thanks!
