thanks. yea I had a diagnostic check done and had codes poo87 and p0252. I was advised to change fuel sensor on rail, but it hasn't helped

Have you checked fuel pressure and injectors?

thanks for the welcomes. no I haven't checked fuel pressure yet. should that be from rail, filter or elsewhere. I've got fuel coming to the filter, but no fuel getting to injector ?
