Mercedes Benz - C Class 1.8 Kompressor Sport 4 door Aug 2007
Hi to all, found this very informative site when looking for info about my problem. I had my MOT here in the UK on Tuesday to have it fail because the rear subframe has rusted, cracked and split! I have been quoted £1,600 Inc labour, and as a Senior on pension, you could imagine the shock!
It is a 2007 c class 1.8 Kompressor Sport. Is this a known problem? Thanks.

Hello and welcome,

As per above, unfortunately quite common :(

Have you had the car long, have you Mercedes service history and do you have a relationship with a Mercedes dealer - depending upon the answer to those questions you could possibly get it replaced by Mercedes FOC - it has happened - quite a few threads end positively :)

Welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately the subframe rust is a known issue.
That aside, hope you are sorted soon.

Hello and welcome
Probably not the answer you're looking forward to, as mentioned above all to common :(
