Great cars, I still think the W124 is the best mercedes for drive comfort. Rear suspension can be expensive to fix so have a good look underneath the rear arches at the pipes for the suspension and the condition of the rear shocks.

Other than that I cant think of much else to worry about as its all fixable, whats your budget?

herman1rg - welcome. I too was on this position 4-6 weeks ago and decided on a w124 300D Multivalve. See thread below about questions/answers etc to save you a bit of time.

Budget actually quite variable as going to use some redundancy money for the pruchase.

It will actually be a second car as I already own a smart roadster Brabus which I will be keeping
