Hello Everyone,

I looked for a new member thread to introduce myself and couldn’t find one.

I have recently bought a C220 CDi Coupe because I liked its looks and hatchback practicality. It’s my first MB and I’m enjoying the learning curve.

My job takes me all over and I love driving and have completed several advanced and skid courses. My hobbies are reading, computers and crosswords. Because of my interest in computers I discovered this forum and have been “reading the mail” for a while, and have been impressed at the help and advice so freely given. Once I’ve completed a few thousand miles in my C220 I’m sure I shall be back.

Hello and welcome to the Forum. I am sure you will enjoy your new car - it is an excellent choice.

The most important advice for any Mercedes fan in Scotland is to keep an eye out for ST4 - once he gets you on his wavelength , there will be no escape!!

Hi & Welcome,

We don't have a new members thread as such most members either go straight into a technical question or post a "Hello" in the general section as you have done.

Mercmeisie - Merc Girl/Lady - Meisiekind? If so, we have a new lady amongst us :)

Welcome to the forum, the C220 is a nice car, so hopefully, no problems and 100% enjoyment.

Hi & Welcome,

With the amount of new members that we take in,,it would be novel to have a section for them,,when the PM boxes were active, I got loads of new members asking this question

Hello again,

Thank you for making me feel welcome.

I was educated in South Africa hence the name Mercmeisie. Meisie = young girl.

The weather is lovely here in Scotland so I am off to Fort William and the Road to the Isles just for the pleasure of driving.

Likewise, 10 years growing up in Springs (Edenvale) .... Maseru (Lesotho)!

Trouble is I cant remember who I am, so the likelyhood of me remembering Afrikaans or Sesotho is less than 0!!!!!

Enjoy the drive... just watch out for the Haggis.... apparently they come from England

Yarpie in Scotland !!-Hi and welcome to the forum - I will be up there myself shortly (for golf)--we always stay in the Meadows -Crieff for the golfing as its central for that-and Perthshire is so nice -will venture up to Taymouth castle and Killin too --I also love the solitude of the highlands and the west coast once youre past Fort William -usually stay in Portrree and climb the Cuillins- but not been much lately since old age has been kicking in .

Hello again,

Thanks for your welcome comments, sorry I haven’t any technical questions yet so I will tell you a bit about yesterday. I managed to burn off a full tank of fuel via Fort William to Mallaig and back, really enjoyed the drive with the sun roof and windows open, not so many tourists so could put foot - bliss! Didn’t see the Jacobite steam train, which was a disappointment.

Off now on my hols so will stop going on about girly things and think of serious things, like where can I find a dishy mega rich banker?

You could try the "Wanted" posts ?
I wonder- Do they still run the ferry from Mallaig to Skye?
