Welcome Nick. I'm still a relative newbie here having joined last year when we bought a CLK same age and engine as yours but with 112k mls.

We were initially looking at BMW 3 series (felt small inside), 5 series (too large outside)and MB C-class (again a little too large). Finding ourselves looking at a CLK was something of an accident but it has proved a good choice.

I went through it with a fine tooth comb post purchase and there was very little to do really... major service, water pump and associated belt/idlers/tensioner etc plus 4 Dunlops. I have just replaced the front discs/ads and a few weeks back two parking sensors at the front failed (common issue) so I replaced all six while I had the bumper off.

It's a pleasure to use and has proved the perfect buy.

David
