New owner of C220 d SE Auto 2018

Hello everyone.
Just got my hands today on my first MB C220. WDD205, 2018, 29k miles, leathers etc, and I have few questions or bits to work out.

Picked it up today in Luton, but it came down from Blackburn, so I had around 50 miles journey to home in GU17. Yellow engine light came on 20 miles from home (?! wow lol), MOT was done in September, 4 diffrent tyres (wow what lol). Got it from a reputable dealer though surely we can work something out, FSH, small dent on the bonnet. Nothing special. on finance, no biggie.

Issues i've encountered, my understanding is that being a C220 2018 model there is no Android Auto OR Apple Carplay. .... fair, unfair, i wasn't using them anyway but it's really a shame it doesn't have it for a car of 2018 and this level of trim/expectations. Workaround? Upgrading the headunit? Anyway...

The next issue is the Yellow Light, AdBlue was sitting at a 3200 miles, so all good, DPF maybe? ...the system messages said nothing, no error code, restarting engine did not cleared the engine light.

My phone (OnePlus 8T) when I turn on on the BT (after pairing etc) connects to the car but only in Phone/Call mode? What the hell is this? 1998? Is there a way of connecting to the car in a ...well, spotify music play mode? When i connect it by cable to one of the charging USB ports from the elbow rest the phone is asking me in which mode to connect (charging, Android Auto/Transfer only) but no diffrence to the phone audio output.

and finally, how do you reset all the settings to factory default settings?

It's my first MB, I was really-really excited, amazing MPG around 68, very roomy and stylish, and a 500+ range after a full tank. But these issues really annoyed and took the fun out of it. ...

Hello and welcome

Yellow engine light could be a few things, AdBlue failing - new pump (integral to tank so ££££ expense) Nox sensors not compatible with latest engine software another ££££ cost. Report it all back to the supplying dealer and have them fix it.
Almost no such thing as a reputable dealer these days unfortunatel.

If you contact Comand online (forum supporter) they’ll tell you with your vin what you can and can’t do with your entertainment system.

Welcome. For bluetooth audio you have to pair your phone for BT audio as well as separate pairing for telephone calls. Can’t remember how but it will be in the menus somewhere. I'm pretty sure Comand can add Apple/Audio

Hi Silv, welcome to the forum. I assume you are referring to the engine management light (EML). I too have that problem but it is lit for a while then goes out for a while. The Indy I use has diagnosed a Nox filter failure. seems it is quite common on an MB. You are in the fortunate position where presumably you have a Warranty. Just report it to the Dealer and get it seen to. The only issue will be that Nox sensors are on back order. On the positive side you can still drive the car without doing any further damage.
