2008 C Class 180 Estate Sport (W204)
Hi, I’ve just got myself a 2008 C Class Estate. The car has done just 28,000 miles with full main dealer history, having had just one owner for almost its entire life.

Anyway, it’s had the “C180” de-badged at the back and I’d like to stick the letters back on. I can see cheap ones on eBay etc but don’t know if they’ll be of decent quality or an exact match.

Can anyone tell me where I could find original replacement letters? I’ve tried google but can’t seem to find genuine ones.

Thank you.

Hello and welcome

The badging should be available from the main MB dealers.

Thank you.

I got the badge (genuine Mercedes-Benz). I carefully fitted it in the exact same position that the residue had been from the old one.

However, when I see photos of other C class cars the model badge appears to be closer to the horizontal body panel line on them than mine.

I’m a bit miffed. It seems inconceivable that the car was de-badged, then re-badged incorrectly, then de-badged again (trace residue left) until I re-badged it?

Is it possible it was in a slightly different position from new?

I’d like to get the Kompressor one now and re-badge the other side. I want it to look right?

Hello and welcome.
You could always take it off and re position it, you might need to get some double sided badge tape.

Thanks. I think I’ll leave it where it is.
