new steering wheel fitted

hi all newbie here and help needed i have a 2016 c220 premium plus amg line estate i have just bought a steering wheel from a later model its says its compatible once fitted i get error codes from a carly code reader saying codes b00012b squib for driver air bag (stage1) has a malfunction there is a open circuit
and code b000213 the squib for driver airbag (stage2) has a malfunction there is a open circuit
any body ever had simlar or can advise on a way to over come is there some kind of coding needed etc

Did new steering wheel have an air bag. And as you removed the wire going to the airbag the computers is now telling you just that

Was the battery disconnected before the wheel was replaced ?

If not then i would expect the errors you have.

Well all sorted up and running just needed the right adaptor to fit to steering wheel guy who sold it to me was magic helped me all thd way top marks to him .so yes you can fit the newer type ofsteering wheel with the right kit and the right help mind you it cost £550 for wheel with air bag £300 for the adaptor so a costly up grade but worth it plus can sell me old wheel and air bag so not so bad then .ty all for your help
