New to Merc

Evening all,
Nice to find a place for like minded people.
Just bought a 2013 250 CDI amg sport shooting brake in Tenorite grey with 54k on the clock, immaculate.
Couldn't happier can't stop looking out of the window at it, what a shape.
I got out of a Saab 93 estate which although I loved had become a typical smokey old diesel.
I hope that you will all treat me kindly as I have a lot to learn about MB.

My last car was an 05 1.9 TID. Great car. I part exchanged it towards a 10 plate 350 cdi. Fast, smooth and great to drive. Having had 5 imprezas previously, my last having 370+ BHP, I still think the Merc is a better car..

Nice car as a starter, enjoy the forum and the ride.

Tip - get acquainted with a reputable merc indy where you are, merely for the fact they can save you lots in mainteance/ diags. So try to avoid a run off the mill garage.

Unless of course you are MB trained gold standard tech.

Once you have got past the inaugural beasting and the wounds have healed I think a few on here can be reasonable, well-ish.

I did find it quite a shock to give up part of my income but got used to my new life of austerity and annual thrashing, which I now find cathartic.
