Hello! After 21 years as an Audi driver I think they have lost a bit of their mojo when it comes to car interiors.

So - when looking at what to replace my RS3 with I settled on this...

I had both the 8P and 8V versions of the RS3; the first one was certainly more rare.

But the CLA is in a different league of exclusivity. There are only 185 registered in the UK!

I’m treating the car with respect whilst I run it in, so nothing too sporty yet (less than 100 miles on the clock...). But even just driving round roundabouts the agility of the CLA blows my RS3 out of the water.

That was what I was looking for in my next car, so I am very excited by the prospect of being able to drive it ‘properly’ in the near future!

Funny you say that, my son is also a longtime Audi owner (TTS & a couple of big Qs). Currently has the latest Q8 and an AMG E53 (2019) and he much prefers the Audi interiors......people say the interior on my SL is dated but I love it. Not a fan of all the plastic / glass panels so prevalent in cars now.

We are all different but I think a late MB interior is a far nicer place to be. Audi have made a right mess of their latest offerings, with their new air vents particularly

I'm not too crazy about those vent / disco lights in his AMG.......

One of my main reasons for picking the Merc over the main competition was that they still give you buttons for the things you need regular or quick access to. VW and Audi are both going too far down the touch screen route IMO.

BMW have pretty decent interior ergonomics but the dynamics of the 135x are fairly consistently criticised by reviewers.

The CLA is one of the best looking affordable new cars on sale at the moment. Slightly less affordable to most though if buying the ultimate version with the most powerful 4 cylinder production engine in the world currently
