I’ve not long purchased a 2018 C250d and already the leather seat is coming away in little chunks!! Never halved in my Ford, is this a common problem, how do i fix it?

First response, the inevitable "Are you sure it's really leather and not the much cheaper Artico substitute?"

No I’m not sure, I’ve just learned that now. Not sure if it can be repaired??

Hello and welcome

Sounds very much like “Artico” where did you buy it from?

Do a vin decode on one of the online sites - that will show what you have

Certainly sounds like Artico to me. But a 2018 shouldn't have those sort of problems yet unless it is a pretty high mileage vehicle

I don't think it would be possible to damage leather in that way whatever was done to it, so I think it must be plasticky Artico. Maybe unsuitable solvent type cleaning materials have caused the damage, in which case it probably isn't repairable.
