E350 AMG SPORT BLUETEC AUTO CONVERTIBLE
Good evening, everyone, and it's late for early. Come back on a business trip. I've just brought the E350 angry sport tech available at my first Mercedes. I must say I'm very, very impressed. It's going back for recall for the passenger airbag. And the ECU does it know what is wrong with the ECU? Why the why the attitude will recall?

I have just purchased A. Mercedes E350 AMG SPORT BLUETEC CONVERTIBLE
I must say I have always been a Porsche man but I am very impressed with car it handles the road like it's on rails and although it's not a true AMG it certainly has a punch to it.

I have been informed by a friend who works as a technician at Mercedes World in weybridge that my model has a recall on it for the passenger airbag and something to do with the ECU does anyone know what the recall on the ECU is for

Welcome. Yes, the Airbag is a known recall to replace either one or both Takata brand airbags in the front. I had mine done and they replaced both. It took less than one hour for them to do it at Mercedes Stoke. I've not heard of the ECU recall but it could be specific to the 350 (mine is the 500). Check the GOV UK website and it should list which recall(s) are applicable to your car.

The recall on the ECU could be the emissions fix update MB are doing to all 2009-16 E classes. I’d suggest you read the threads on here concerning the recall to make a decision as to whether it’s worth it. Obviously the airbag recall definitely requires doing but the emissions update is your decision as it’s not mandatory in the UK

Apologies I missed you have a diesel model. As per Malcolm above do read the many threads on this forum - many avoid the update as it can cause more problems than it aims to fix! But deffo you should book in for the air bags recall.
